ANTON MARIA MELCHERS

1931-2022

On March 5, 2022, Tony peacefully passed to the next life, reluctant to leave his beloved Bobbie and his Melchers and Bedard family members.

Tony was born into the large, loving family of Gertruida and Anton Willem Melchers, with twin brother, Jan, on August 24, 1931 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Tony's strong Dutch connection continued with his friends, Rien and Agnes Arts, and their family, as well as with Jan, Joan, and nieces, Joanne and Betsy, and nephew, Jim.

In 1982, Tony married the love of his life, Roberta Bell Bedard, and together they treasured their home, and travelled in Europe and North America.

Bobbie and Tony never missed an opportunity to gratitude for their loving marriage of almost 40 years.

He was predeceased by Chris S.J., Betsy and

Uncle Tony was proud of his many nieces and nephews in Canada and Europe.
